Ready to work through the betrayal that’s still living in your nervous system, live, together?

Three live sessions to untangle the fight/flight/freeze system from the connection system. Strengthen your sense of self, and your ability to trust your own knowing again.

Yes, I’m Ready to Begin 3 live 90-min sessions  ·  Companion workbook  ·  40+ somatic exercises

It isn’t just trust in them that breaks.

“It feels like my whole reality got rewritten overnight.”

As humans we are tribal. Connection is our baseline state, our default. When betrayal happens we suddenly can’t trust it. It goes way beyond the person that hurt us. It rewires how our nervous system feels about connection.

It is particularly complicated in the nervous system because betrayal pairs our self-protective system in with our connection and attachment system. The two systems that are supposed to take turns get tangled together. So when we try to get close, the alarm fires. When we feel safe, something says: this is exactly when it happened last time.

And then there is what betrayal does to our sense of self. “I’m so tired of feeling like something is wrong with me.” We get mad at ourselves for not seeing it. For going back. For not listening to the wise part of us that knew. “I thought, no way they could look me in the eye like that and lie, so I must be wrong.” We doubt our own knowings and in doing so get further and further from our own wisdom.

The spirals that follow are their own kind of suffering. We question our judgment. We wonder if we are the problem. We replay everything looking for the moment we missed. We don’t just lose the relationship. We lose trust in our own internal instrument, the very thing we would need to ever feel safe choosing someone again.

The injury most people miss

“And then no one believed you.”

The betrayal was the first wound. What came after it became the second one.

When we’ve been betrayed we are already on the edge of believing it was our fault. And then we try to tell someone.

“Just move on,” “get over it,” “it’s not that bad,” “you should have xyz,” “you’re playing the victim.”

We take those messages in and little by little, start to believe them. We stop trusting ourselves, and start wondering: maybe I am the problem. Maybe I’m too much. Why can’t I just let it go.

“Why are you still on this? It’s been months.”
“They’re such a good person — I’m sure they didn’t mean it.”
“Have you considered your part in it?”
Friends who went quiet. People who stayed neutral.
The betrayer’s narrative spreading while we watched.

Are you ready to stop living in the aftermath and come home to yourself and relationships?

Yes, I’m Ready
The honest truth

We either collapse into the painful patterns, or we genuinely work through it and come out stronger.

I’m sorry to say it but the truth is that after betrayal things rarely just go back to how they were. The experience asks something of us. It asks us to step up to our own growth, or it pulls us down into spirals that over time become ingrained patterns we don’t even recognize as the wound anymore.

What I’ve seen, sitting with people across many different walks of life, is that there are essentially two directions this goes. We collapse into the patterns, or we do the actual work of untangling the nervous system and come through it stronger. Not the same as we were. Stronger. More rooted. With a discernment we didn’t have before.

What that looks like on a practical level, after doing this work, is a deeper experience of coming home to yourself. To the parts of you that were never actually broken. So that you are no longer stuck leaking your energy and your thoughts toward people who betrayed you.

“I’ve sat with all kinds of people in all kinds of walks of life. What I’ve seen in everyone is that there is an unbreakable part of you.”

After betrayal we get mad at ourselves for not listening to the quiet part that knew. That self-doubt is part of the wound, and it is one of the specific things this work is designed to address. Because when you can’t trust your own read on people, you lose the very instrument you’d need to ever feel genuinely safe again.

The people who come through this don’t go back to who they were before. That version didn’t always have the discernment they needed. What they find is something more rooted. The part of them that was there before the betrayal and is still there now. Intact. Underneath everything that happened.

Lead into gold.
That is what the old alchemists were after.

They believed that lead, heavy, toxic, dull, contained within it the potential for gold. Not because lead was precious. Because the fire and the process of transmutation could pull something out that was not visible before.

Betrayal is lead. It is heavy in the body. It is toxic to the nervous system. Left unprocessed, it sits in you the way lead sits in soil, slowly making it hard for anything new to grow.

The alchemists also knew this: you cannot rush the transmutation. But you cannot skip the fire either. The lead does not become gold through more analyzing of the lead. It becomes gold through a process. A real one, that involves heat and time and the willingness to let the form change.

What comes out the other side of genuine somatic betrayal work is not the absence of pain. It is a deeper experience of coming home to yourself. Standing more fully in who you really are at your essence. The part of you the betrayal could not reach. The gold is not magic. It is who you become when you stop being run by what happened.

The Lead Betrayal

Heavy. Toxic to the nervous system. The self-protective and attachment systems tangled together, the sense of self lost, the inner knowing doubted.

The Gold Essential Self

The unbreakable part. Rooted in your own knowing. No longer leaking power to someone who betrayed you. Stronger, more capable, more yourself.

Why understanding it
does not move it.

After betrayal, two systems that were designed to operate separately get tangled. The self-protective system, the one that scans for danger, fires the alarm, tells you to guard yourself, and the attachment system, the one that reaches toward people, that needs closeness, that built the bond that got broken.

When those two get fused, everything gets tangled at the level of the body, not just the mind. Think of it like crossing your arms and trying to reach with your left hand. Your right arm is in the way. That is what happens when we go to let someone in and the guard goes up. When we lower the guard we feel exposed in a way that does not feel survivable. The reach for connection and the self-protective response have gotten wrapped around each other.

You cannot think your way out of that. Both of those systems live below the level of thought. Which is exactly why understanding it does not move it. The work has to happen in the body, in the nervous system itself.

System One

Self-Protection

Threat detection. Fight, flight, and freeze. The system that sounds the alarm when danger is near. Built to keep you safe.

gets tangled with
System Two

Attachment

Connection. Closeness. The system that reaches toward others and signals: this person is safe. Built to bring you close.

When they fuse, closeness triggers the alarm.

The person who was supposed to be where you went when things got hard became the source of threat. Your nervous system learned that lesson at a level much deeper than thought. That is why we keep going back to the story. Why we can’t quite trust our own read on people. Why we flood in situations that should not flood us.

The two systems that were meant to take turns are now running simultaneously. The work of this course is to help them separate, so each one can do its actual job again.

Ready to stop reliving it?

Yes, I’m Ready

Still triggered years later and wondering
what’s wrong with you?

“I’ve done the therapy, read the books, I understand it, so why am I still like this?” If that question has crossed your mind, this is why. Most approaches to betrayal healing are built for the mind. They help you understand. They help you reframe. But understanding a wound does not close it.

01

Talk therapy goes deep, but not into the body

Insight changes what you think about what happened. It rarely changes how your nervous system responds to it. The two happen in different places. The prediction that keeps firing is held in the body, not the mind.

02

Mindfulness helps regulation, but it does not complete the response

Watching the charge rise is useful. But the fight-or-flight response that never got to finish still needs somewhere to go. Observing it and completing it are different things.

03

Cutting people off is not always the answer

Sometimes the path forward is learning to reorganize the relationship, or to grieve what it actually was rather than what it was supposed to be. Many people still want the relationship. That takes a different kind of work.

04

Disorganized attachment usually goes unaddressed

When the source of safety becomes the source of danger, the nervous system enters a specific state that most healing approaches do not name, let alone resolve. This course is built specifically around that mechanism.

A step-by-step layered process. Each session builds what the next one requires.

Ready to stop giving this any more of your life
than it has already taken?

Yes, I’m Ready

I’ve sat with all kinds of people in all kinds of walks of life. What I’ve seen in everyone is that there is an unbreakable part of you.

Not untouched. Untouched is not the right word. What happened to you was real and it landed. But underneath the wound, underneath the confusion and the self-doubt and the shame, something stayed intact. Something that knows things. Something that has always known things.

I also want to say something to the part of you that is skeptical. That part is real and it makes complete sense. I’m a huge skeptic myself. What I’ve discovered is that skepticism is a self-protective part (self-protection is great), and with a little work it becomes one of our most useful tools. The issue is not that we scan for danger. It’s that we get so focused on scanning for threat that we don’t let safety in when we actually find it. Part of what this course specifically works with is learning to use that discernment in both directions.

“Even if your intuition is wrong, it’s better to listen to it so it can learn.”

The hardest part of this work for most people is not the grief or the anger. It is trusting themselves again. Trusting that they can change. Trusting that their inner knowing is worth listening to after it seemed to let them down. Distrust of ourselves is part of the wound. It is one of the things we address directly in this work.

People who take their healing seriously enough to work at this level, to go into the body and not just the story, are not naive. They have usually already done a lot of work. They know the difference between something that sounds good and something that actually reaches the root. If that is you, this was built for you.

Who this is for, and who it isn’t

This is for you if
You have done real work on this already and something in the body still has not moved. You know the difference between insight and actual shift.
You are ready to get curious about your own nervous system’s patterns, even the ones that formed in response to what they did. Not to excuse anyone. To get your power back.
You want a framework that explains the mechanism, not just validates the pain. You need to understand how something works before you can trust it.
You are open to the nuanced path. Staying and doing the harder work is something you can consider. Grieving something fully is something you can consider. You are not looking for someone to tell you what to do.
You are willing to show up for three live sessions and explore the somatic exercise library. Not perfect. Real engagement.
This is not for you if
Not yet ready to look inward at all. If right now the only thing that feels true is that they were wrong and you were wronged, that is valid. This work will still be here when there is room for more.
You prefer a detached, clinical approach. Daniel brings his own stories and experiences into the room. For some people that is exactly what makes it land. For others it is the wrong fit, and that is okay.
Currently in active psychiatric crisis. This work goes deep and moves real charge in the body. That is what makes it effective. It needs a stable enough container to be safe. Professional support first, this course when you have more ground under you.
You feel unwilling to practice the self-regulation exercises.
You are looking for a quick fix or passive consumption. The exercises require your engagement. This is for people who are done circling and ready to actually go somewhere.

What people say about Daniel’s work

From Trauma Alchemy, the 30-Day Nervous System Challenge, and the Masterclass series.

“After completing the 3-year Somatic Experiencing training, I thought I had a pretty comprehensive understanding of trauma healing. But this work introduced me to an entirely new way of looking at developmental trauma and the patterns underneath it. The emotional and energetic repair techniques are unlike anything I had encountered before and have made a huge impact on both my personal healing and my work with clients.”

Katy L. Somatic Experiencing Practitioner  ·  Trauma Alchemy

“After years of therapy, this provided something I had not experienced anywhere else. It was not just about releasing trauma. It was about completely reprogramming how my body and nervous system handled it.”

Conner N.
Trauma Alchemy

“I have been a therapist for 20 years, and this work has taken my practice to a new level. The boundaries module was a revelation. Teaching my clients to create effective boundaries in a way that feels natural and empowering has transformed their progress.”

Sarah S.
Trauma Alchemy  ·  20-year therapist

“Mere hours after completing this course I found myself subconsciously utilizing the tools as I shared some of my trauma with family. I was able to calm myself down and finish my story using the self-holding tool, whereas before I would have stayed dissociated for the next week or longer.”

Lindsey M.
5 Somatic Tools Masterclass

“Before this course I often felt stuck in anxiety, with my body flooded by cortisol and constant stress. Learning how to engage my vagus nerve and use these somatic techniques has given me real tools to release the tension.”

Leila J.

Hi, I’m Daniel, a somatic educator, DARe Faculty trainer in Diane Poole Heller’s world-recognized somatic attachment training, author, and master somatic practitioner with over 10,000 hours of professional experience. For more than 18 years I have worked with thousands of individuals, couples, and practitioners, helping them understand and work with what their nervous systems are carrying.

My background includes a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology, leading continuing education groups for specialty practitioners and therapists at Sierra Tucson Treatment Center, one of the most respected residential treatment facilities in the country, certification in Somatic Experiencing, and years of teaching somatic and trauma-informed methods to practitioners around the world.

My own story began at 12 years old, lost in addiction. Years of brain fog, a body wracked with migraines and anxiety, difficulty holding relationships together. I knew something was wrong but I didn’t have a name for it and I didn’t have the tools. What eventually pulled me out of that led me into somatic psychology, professional work at Sierra Tucson, and the development of the work you are looking at now.

If you feel lost, know this. I have been there too, and freedom is possible. Follow along at @vosesomatic.

Frequently asked questions

No. This course does not require forgiveness and does not push toward it. What it works toward is giving you your power back. Not through forgiveness, but through no longer being run by what happened to you. Wanting acknowledgment and an apology is a completely reasonable thing. This course is built around healing regardless of whether you ever get that.

The nervous system does not time-stamp its wounds. It cares about whether the self-protective response ever got to finish, not how long ago the event was. If it is still shaping how you respond to closeness, trust, or your own sense of yourself, it is still present. Old betrayals that have not been processed somatically often show up as current-day patterns, not memories.

Probably not. This course works at the somatic level, the body and nervous system, which most talk-based therapy does not reach. If anything, the therapeutic insight you have already built is a foundation this course can build on. Several people in Daniel’s existing courses are therapists themselves, who found this addressed something they could not reach with their current training.

No. Many of the people this course reaches are not in active crisis. They have done significant work, understand a lot about what happened, and still feel something in the body that has not moved. If that is you, you are exactly who this is built for.

That said, if you are in acute psychiatric crisis right now, please make sure you have professional support in place. This work goes deep and moves real charge in the body. It needs a stable enough container to be safe.

Neither. This course is about helping you get to your own truth about the relationship. Sometimes that truth is: I need to leave. Sometimes it is: I want to try to rebuild this. Sometimes it is more complicated than either of those. Daniel does not push people toward cutting things off by default. When people want to work something out, there are real tools for rebuilding trust. When the honest answer is that they need to go, there are tools for that grieving process too.

Romantic, familial, professional, communal. The nervous system processes betrayal in the same fundamental way regardless of context. The specific content of what happened matters to your story. How the body holds it is the same across all of them.

All three sessions are recorded and you have lifetime access. You can watch at whatever pace your schedule and your nervous system allow. That said, there is something that happens in a live container that recordings cannot fully replicate. If you can show up live, even for part of it, that is worth something. If life gets in the way, the recordings are there and the work travels.

Ready for betrayal to be something that happened to you, not something that keeps you stuck?

The unbreakable part of you already knows what it needs. The question is whether you are willing to trust it one more time.

// p.s.

If you scrolled all the way here without deciding, I want to say something directly to the part of you that is still hesitating.

I know that part well. It has been burned before. It has done the work, spent money, felt the hope, and then found itself back in the same place six months later. That part is not the enemy. It is trying to protect you from one more disappointment.

What I would ask is this. Not to override it. Not to push through it. Just to settle your nervous system for a moment, feel the ground beneath you, and ask the quieter part, the one underneath the hesitation, what it actually knows.

That part has always known things. This work is designed to help you trust it again.
