Senior Instructor
Daniel Vose MA S.E.P.
Hi, I’m Daniel, a somatic educator, nervous system specialist, and author with over 10,000 hours of practice. For more than 18 years, I’ve helped thousands of individuals, couples, and practitioners transform the way trauma lives in the body. I’m a faculty trainer in the DARe Somatic Attachment Practitioner Training, the certification program developed by Diane Poole Heller, one of the world’s leaders in attachment. My background also includes a master’s degree in Somatic Psychology, certification in Somatic Experiencing, and years of teaching attachment- and trauma-informed methods to practitioners and educators around the world. But none of that is where my story began.
At 12 years old, I was lost in addiction. My brain was fogged from drugs, my body wracked with migraines, anxiety, and stress. I couldn’t hold a conversation without forgetting what was said. Friendships fell apart. My family feared for me. I remember feeling like life was closing in, as if I wouldn’t make it. I started going to 12-step meetings at 14, surrounded by others who were also carrying unbearable weight. It was in those rooms that I first saw how much pain lived beneath the surface of addiction, and I knew this was what I wanted to dedicate my life to understanding. I explored Native American church ceremonies, studied psychology, and slowly rebuilt myself. My search eventually led me into somatic psychology.
After completing my undergraduate and master’s degrees, I began high-volume professional work at one of the top treatment centers in the country. There, I sat with hundreds of people each year, seeing the effects of trauma in their most acute form. Those years gave me the crucible to refine the same framework that had helped me rebuild my own life. Today, that framework has become what I call Trauma Alchemy: Regulate, Reconnect, Regenerate. Born out of my own experience, tested in treatment centers, and now taught worldwide, it has helped thousands of people find a way through. I now live a life I never thought possible: clear-headed, deeply connected in marriage, grounded in meditation, free of drugs, and devoted to guiding others through the same process. If you feel lost, know this: I’ve been there too, and there is a way forward.

Mentorship and Individual Availability
My individual work is mostly closed while I focus on teaching and training other practitioners and coaches. I do, however, make room occasionally for a small number of individual clients when the timing and the energetics feel right. If you feel called to work with me, please follow the link below and complete the intake form. I will read every submission and respond when there is a clear resonance.
Please note that I work as a somatic educator and coach, not as a licensed psychotherapist. This means I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. My work uses a coaching framework to support people in building a more regulated and grounded life.
Scope of Practice
How Coaching Differs from Psychotherapy, Social Work, or Other Medical Professions
Daniel’s 1-on-1 coaching is a body-based, nervous system focused approach designed to support personal growth, emotional resilience, and deeper self-awareness. Unlike psychotherapy or other medical professions, coaching does not involve diagnosing mental health conditions or providing treatment for psychological disorders.
Daniel uses somatic techniques within a coaching framework to help clients regulate their nervous system, shift ingrained patterns, and develop greater capacity for connection and well-being. Coaching is future-focused and aimed at practical, actionable change, not clinical treatment or mental health care.
If you are experiencing severe mental health distress or require clinical care, please seek support from a licensed mental health professional. Coaching can complement ongoing therapy but is not a substitute for it. No therapeutic relationship is created through this coaching work.
Letter from Daniel
“Dear Friend,
I am honored to welcome you. I understand what it is to face tremendous stress and come out the other side. Along the way, I discovered that the human spirit is more resilient than almost anyone tells us. There is an unbreakable part of you that this work will tend and strengthen.
In my work, I start with what is already working within you. We look at the patterns in your nervous system that are keeping you stuck, and we show them a different way. Reaching out for support is often the hardest part. It is my honor to be a steady presence as you come back to yourself.”
Sincerely, Daniel
